Important safety information about our medical devices
All medical devices have specific contraindications and precautions that must be observed. Below you will find the most important information for the technologies we offer. Always consult your doctor or therapist before using them at home. We are happy to advise you on any questions you may have about the devices and contraindications.
In rare cases, particularly sensitive individuals may experience redness under the electrodes. This usually disappears after a few minutes. If the redness persists, please consult a physician.
In some patients, evening application may delay sleep onset . In this case, it is recommended to avoid evening treatment.
Contraindications:
- Stimulation on the front of the neck (carotid sinus)
- Wearers of a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator
- Patients with tumors (only after consultation with the oncologist)
- Stimulation in the brain area
- Pain of unknown cause
- Open wounds and skin diseases
- Acute trauma or fresh scars
- Patients with tuberculosis, juvenile diabetes, acute viral infections, fungal infections or dermatitis
- Patients with heart disease, severe arrhythmias or pacemakers
- Wearers of magnetizable prostheses
- Acute infections
- Epilepsy (unless expressly prescribed by a doctor)
When used properly, no side effects have been observed with POWERSONIC. However, the following applies: Use is not permitted in the following diseases and conditions:
- Severe cardiac arrhythmias or pacemaker wearers
- Heart disease or severe cardiovascular disease
- epilepsy
- Progressive phlebitis or thrombophlebitis
- Fever
- Anxiety disorders or severe mental illnesses
- tuberculosis
- Spinal diseases
- Malignant tumors or neoplasms
- Local infections
- Metal implants (use only after medical consultation)
- Venous thrombosis
- Severe osteoporosis
- Inflammatory diseases
- Arteriopathies (unless expressly prescribed by a doctor)
Magnetic field therapy should not be used in the following cases:
- pregnant women
- children
- Patients with tuberculosis or juvenile diabetes
- Acute viral infections
- fungal infections
- Heart disease or severe arrhythmias
- Pacemaker wearers
- Patients with tumors
- Wearers of magnetizable prostheses
- Acute infections
- Epileptics (except on medical prescription)
When using lasers, the following contraindications and precautions should be observed:
- Never point the laser beam at your eyes (risk of serious eye damage)
- Do not use in the abdominal area during pregnancy
- Do not use in cases of cancer without express medical consent
- No radiation of hormone glands (e.g. thyroid)
- Do not use with pacemakers, implants or transplants without consulting a doctor
- Do not use in case of epilepsy, fever or while taking light-sensitive medication
- No direct irradiation of moles, tattoos or skin lesions of unknown origin
- Use with caution on dark or heavily tanned skin
Contraindications:
Side effects may occur when the device is used in the following situations or in people with the following conditions:
- People with implantable medical devices
- Patients with pulmonary edema, myocardial infarction, intravenous carcinoma, hypertension or high fever
- Patients with skin diseases or damages, such as burns, dermatitis, open or purulent wounds, malignant tumors, etc.
- People who have recently undergone surgery in the treatment area
- Patients with severe circulatory disorders (e.g. arteriosclerosis, angina pectoris, previous heart attack)
- People with suspected blood clots
- Patients with severe deformities or wearers of prostheses or other implanted materials in the area of application
- Immediately after an intervention to treat varicose veins
- Patients who have recently undergone surgery
- Pregnant women
- Children
There are currently no known systematic side effects associated with the proper use of the device.
