Unipro: Multifunctional device for physiotherapy and rehabilitation

The Unipro by TensCare is a versatile electrotherapy device that combines TENS, EMS, microcurrent and interferential current in a compact design. It is suitable for both professional use and home use. The Unipro can be used to support pain management, muscle training and rehabilitation. It is the next generation of the tried-and-tested Flexistim electrotherapy device. The Unipro is the successor to the discontinued TensCare FlexiStim.

Unipro therapy modes

  • TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation): The programs can help influence the perception of pain. Gentle electrical impulses stimulate, among other things, the release of the body's own messenger substances, which may support well-being.
  • EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation): This method can help activate and train specific muscles. It is frequently used in physiotherapy to support muscle building and rehabilitation.
  • Microcurrent: Microcurrent applications use very low current levels that do not produce visible muscle contractions. They can support the body's natural recovery processes and are often perceived as pleasant.
  • Interferential current therapy: This form of stimulation can reach deeper layers of tissue and is often used to support people with persistent discomfort. Many users report that it has a soothing effect.

Using the Unipro may be a useful addition to physiotherapy or medically supervised treatment programs. Please note that it is not a substitute for medical treatment.

The programs are versatile and are used, among other things, alongside treatment for conditions such as joint problems, back pain or muscle tension. They should always be used as a supplement to medical or physiotherapy care.

Side effects and contraindications

In rare cases, skin irritation or sensations similar to muscle soreness may occur. Do not use if you have a pacemaker, cardiac arrhythmia or epilepsy, or during pregnancy (see user manual). If in doubt, seek medical advice.

Elektrostimulation (EMS/TENS) - Gegenanzeigen und Sicherheitshinweise

Bei bestimmungsgemäßer Anwendung sind keine bedeutenden Nebenwirkungen bekannt.

Bei besonders empfindlichen Personen kann sich nach der Behandlung eine Rötung der Haut unter den Elektroden zeigen. Sie verschwindet in der Regel wenige Minuten nach der Behandlung. Halten Sie Rücksprache mit einer Ärztin oder einem Arzt, wenn die Rötung bestehen bleibt.

In seltenen Fällen führt eine Stimulation am Abend zu verzögertem Einschlafen. Verlegen Sie die Anwendung in diesem Fall auf den Tag.

Nicht anwenden bei:

  • Herzschrittmacher oder anderen implantierten elektronischen Geräten
  • Herzerkrankungen und schweren Herzrhythmusstörungen
  • Epilepsie (sofern nicht ärztlich anders verordnet)
  • Schwangerschaft
  • Tumorerkrankungen (bitte Rücksprache mit der behandelnden Onkologie)
  • Tuberkulose
  • juvenilem Diabetes
  • akuten Viruserkrankungen
  • Pilzinfektionen und Dermatitis
  • akuten Infektionen
  • akuten Traumata
  • Schmerzen unbekannter Ursache
  • Venenthrombose und Thrombophlebitis
  • Trägern magnetisierbarer Prothesen
  • Kindern (sofern nicht ärztlich anders verordnet)

Nicht auf folgenden Arealen anwenden:

  • Halsvorderseite (Karotissinus)
  • Kopf- und Gehirnregion
  • Augen
  • durch den Brustkorb hindurch, das heißt die Elektroden nie so platzieren, dass der Strom das Herz durchquert
  • Wunden, Hauterkrankungen und Hautläsionen
  • frische Narben
  • Genitalbereich

Sicherheitshinweise für die Anwendung:

  • Elektroden niemals während des Führens eines Fahrzeugs oder des Bedienens von Maschinen anlegen.
  • Nicht in Badewanne, Dusche oder Sauna anwenden.
  • Elektroden nur auf saubere, trockene und unverletzte Haut aufbringen.
  • Das Gerät nicht gleichzeitig mit hochfrequenten chirurgischen Geräten verwenden.
  • Intensität stets langsam steigern. Die Stimulation soll deutlich spürbar, aber nie schmerzhaft sein.

Bei bestehenden Erkrankungen, Implantaten oder Unsicherheit halten Sie vor der ersten Anwendung bitte Rücksprache mit einer Ärztin, einem Arzt oder einer therapeutischen Fachkraft. Beachten Sie zusätzlich die Gegenanzeigen in der Gebrauchsanweisung des jeweiligen Geräts.
