Mio-Sonic ultrasound device for home & practice
The Mio-Sonic is a handy, lightweight ultrasound device for ultrasound therapy in the home and, according to the manufacturer, also suitable for smaller physiotherapy practices. Its intuitive operation and low weight facilitate extended sessions. The device is CE-marked in accordance with EU regulations .
Areas of application
Typical fields of application (without therapeutic promise):
- Pain management
- Sports/training (e.g. preparation/regeneration)
- Beauty/aesthetics (e.g. cosmetic applications according to manufacturer's instructions)
Important: Please coordinate home treatments with your doctor/physiotherapist in advance.
Ultrasound: Principle of action (thermal & mechanical)
Thermal effects
When ultrasound penetrates the tissue, energy is released; at interfaces with different acoustic resistance (e.g., soft tissue/bone), this can locally increase the temperature. This is used in physiotherapy, sports medicine, and aesthetics.
Non-thermal (mechanical) effects
Ultrasound can also trigger mechanical micro-effects in the tissue (e.g., micro-massage). Their use depends on the indication, the skin area, and the specialist's recommendation.
Instructions for use & operation
There are three intensity levels available for the Mio-Sonic :
- L (Low) : 0.08 W/cm² – pulsed, 10% duty cycle
- M (Medium) : 0.8 W/cm² – pulsed, 50% duty cycle
- H (High) : 1.6 W/cm² – continuous, 100% duty cycle
Contact gel is mandatory. At level H, always move the transducer in slow, circular, or vertical movements (treatment area approximately 7–8 cm) to avoid local overheating.
Ultrasound applications (pain/relaxation)
The instructions show pain zones (red) and application areas (blue); these may vary. Recommendation (manufacturer's information): Use for 10 minutes daily for 3 weeks. If no effect is observed, take a 7-day break, then repeat the application for 21 days.
For cosmetic applications, treat approximately 20 x 20 cm zones for 10 minutes each, followed by adjacent areas. Zones can be treated at different times.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1) LEDs are flashing – is this a problem?
The flashing indicates the preheating/standby phase. When the LEDs remain lit, the device is ready for use.
2) Functional test – how do I check if ultrasound is present?
Place a drop of water on the transducer and start the device: The drop should visibly vibrate/fizz. If you experience any problems, please contact support at support@cardiovibe.de or WhatsApp +49 176 60365693.
3) Application on face/neck?
Generally, only on the cheeks (not near the eyes or mouth). On the neck , avoid the carotid arteries or glands. For aesthetic applications, always start with the lowest intensity and proceed cautiously. If unsure, seek medical advice.
4) Cleaning
Clean the transducer before and after each use with a suitable disinfectant solution. Clean the outside of the device with a soft cloth; do not immerse it in water.
