The Motor Point Pen is used for the correct positioning of electrodes for an effective EMS session.
The Globus Motor Point Pen can be used before an EMS session to find the motor point of the muscle. This allows for optimal stimulation of the muscle being trained.
Application: To locate the motor point, the positive cable of a channel is connected to the small socket of the Motor Point Pen. Using the quadriceps (the front thigh muscle) as an example, a 50x90mm electrode is attached to the base of the thigh. This is connected to the negative cable.
Then, a program such as the warm-up can be selected on the muscle stimulator being used. The area on the front of the thigh where the electrode is to be placed later (the approximate positions can be found in the electrode positioning guide) is coated with a generous amount of gel.
Now, the intensity is slowly increased and the Motor Point Pen is moved over the corresponding skin area with light pressure and without the pen losing contact with the skin. The electrode is then placed centrally at the point with the strongest reaction.
