EMS training for cyclists | Cycling Pro muscle stimulator
Globus Italia developed the Cycling Pro EMS device in collaboration with top athletes from the world of road and track cycling. Mountain bikers were also involved in the development of the device, ensuring that the Cycling Pro can cover all facets of cycling. The Cycling Pro muscle stimulation device is designed for all cyclists who want to supplement their regular cycling training with EMS (electrical muscle stimulation).
Special offer! We're including four Myotrode Platinum electrodes 50x50mm worth €10.90 for free!
EMS training has long been a part of regular training for many professional cyclists .
With the help of muscle stimulation devices like the Cycling Pro, cyclists can optimize their cycling performance. The use of electrical muscle stimulation allows for effective training of the muscle groups most stressed during cycling. This includes, of course, the leg muscles, but also the core area, i.e., the lower back and abdominal muscles.
Through regular EMS training, improvements in both long-term endurance and sprinting ability can be expected.
Cyclists who use EMS training after a training ride or a cycling race can expect faster recovery after training/competition.

EMS cycling programs
Globus Italia has divided its special cycling programs into four main categories. A total of 46 programs are available for cyclists to cover the specific demands of cycling. Whether road cycling or mountain biking, Cycling Pro offers the right programs to support your training.
This also includes programs for supporting EMS and TENS applications after sports injuries, or for faster regeneration after hard training sessions/competitions.
1. EMS programs “PHYSICAL PREPARATION”:
Main objectives are
- Increased strength and special preparation of the muscle fibers for an upcoming load
- Reducing the risk of muscle and joint injuries and providing appropriate prevention.
- Training specific strength requirements for cyclists, such as improving sprinting ability and strength endurance for long climbs.
- specific training of the upper limbs, especially for mountain bikers, where the upper body muscles are more demanding.
2. EMS programs “Injuries / TENS”:
The Cycling Pro EMS device also features four programs that can be used to treat injuries or conditions commonly affecting cyclists. These include programs for:
- to relieve muscle tension in the shoulder and neck area;
- to promote recovery and rehabilitation after injuries and muscle contractures;
- relieve muscle and joint pain in the back;
- To treat knee inflammation and other knee problems.
3. EMS programs “RECOVERY”:
The 6 EMS programs in the recovery area are designed to ensure faster regeneration after training sessions/competitions. These include:
- to relieve muscle cramps after training or competition;
- Faster recovery after training or after races. Especially during stage races or in training camps, rapid recovery is possible with consecutive rides without training/competition rest days.
- to relieve tension in the shoulder/neck area when these muscle groups are tense after long rides;
4. EMS Programs "Prevention": It also makes sense for cyclists to regularly use the two programs in the Cycling Pro for prevention. This applies to the back and knee areas.
- Stabilization of the kneecap to prevent knee inflammation;
- Strengthening the abdominal muscles to prevent lumbar pain.
Below is the Cycling Pro function list, with all the important features of the muscle stimulator:
ACTION NOW : With Action Now technology, muscle contraction can be activated by a command on the device, guided by the user or trainer. Action Now programs are standard EMS programs, except that each individual contraction only begins when the user presses the * button. Action Now programs are particularly effective for associating and synchronizing electrical stimulation with voluntary muscle action.
This training variant is suitable for recreational and competitive athletes and their athletic preparation. The muscle contractions generated by the EMS device can be combined with normal work on weights/training machines with overloads, both dynamic and isometric.
SERIAL SEQUENTIAL STIMULATION "3S" : The 3S programs are characterized by a delayed activation of channels 3 and 4 compared to channels 1 and 2. Serial sequence stimulation allows the muscles to be stimulated in a kinetic chain thanks to different activation times for each muscle area being trained.
In the aesthetic field, the 3S programs allow for true sequential drainage. Sequential muscle contraction in the arms and legs can create deep drainage of interstitial fluids through the lymphatic vessels and promote the return of venous blood to the heart.
MULTI-USER : Up to ten different users can be saved on the Cycling Pro, with a wide range of preferred programs related to individual training goals.
SYNCROSTIM : The strength of all four channels can be increased simultaneously by pressing a single button.
RUN TIME FUNCTION : The run time function allows you to modify the time, frequency and amplitude during the application.
AUTOMATIC FUNCTION (AUTO STIM®) : This function allows you to run a program in automatic mode without having to manually adjust the stimulation intensity.
PROGRAMMABLE : The Cycling Pro has 15 free memories available for your own programs (EMS and TENS only).
2+2 MODE : Two different programs can be run at the same time.
FAVORITES : Up to 15 programs can be saved for each user.
LAST 10 : This function saves the last ten programs used.
SKIN AND FACIAL TREATMENTS : The Cycling Pro also features regenerative G-pulse currents, which can be used to support the production of collagen in the tissue.
WORK TIME : This function gives you an overview of the entire usage time of the device.
MY TRAINER : A useful feature, with the "My Trainer" function the electrode positioning for the individual stimulation programs is shown on the Cycling Pro display.
STIM LOCK : If the Cycling Pro is used by inexperienced users, this function can be used to set the device so that only specifically approved programs can be used.
