Magnetic field therapy device for home use in dogs and cats

Kora is a magnetic field therapy device for magnetic field treatment of dogs and cats, suitable for both home and professional use. It features a color display, two independent channels, a maximum output of up to 100 Gauss per channel, and a frequency of up to 75 Hz. The device comes with 18 preset programs for various medical conditions. Additionally, a quick selection of the 10 most recently used programs allows you to select them.

The package includes a soft mat large enough for small and medium-sized animals. For larger animals, a second mat can be purchased that can be attached to the first.

Magnetic field therapy for animals is a physiotherapeutic method that uses pulsed magnetic fields to influence the animal organism. It uses low-frequency, low-intensity, and pulsed magnetic fields that also occur naturally and play an important role in the regulation of biological functions. By influencing the permeability of cell membranes and the arrangement of molecules, magnetic fields have a positive effect on the health of animals.

The pulsed magnetic fields generated by Kora have two biological effects: the electromagnetic effect, which induces electrical current in the organism, and the mechanical-magnetic effect, which causes the transfer of magnetic substances. Furthermore, they influence the orientation of paramagnetic substances and their alignment along vectorial lines.

Effects of magnetic field therapy in veterinary medicine

Magnetic field therapy with pulsed, low-frequency magnetic fields has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and biostimulating effects in veterinary medicine. It is used particularly for orthopedic conditions such as unconsolidated fractures and pseudoarthroses, as well as for pathologies of the musculoskeletal system. Kora's pulsed magnetic fields have positive effects on inflammation, pain, and the repair and regeneration of bone, muscle, and skin tissue. Therefore, magnetic field therapy is used in veterinary medicine in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and orthopedics.

Magnetic field therapy penetrates fur, skin, and bones. Thus, its effect reaches deep into the joints and muscles, stimulating blood circulation there. A 30- to 60-minute treatment is generally painless, and the animal often also relaxes during magnetic field treatment. The first results are generally visible as early as two weeks after treatment. There is often an immediate difference when the animal stands up, walks, or runs.

Absolute Kontraindikation:

  • Bei Patienten mit Herzschrittmacher oder anderen Elektrostimulationsgeräten (z.B. in der Wirbelsäule).

Kontraindikationen:

  • Patienten mit Herzrhythmusstörungen.
  • Dermatitis und Pilzinfektionen.
  • Neigung zu Blutungen.
  • Schwere ischämischen Herzerkrankung.
  • Es wird empfohlen, diese Therapie nicht gleichzeitig mit TENS bzw. HOLTER durchzuführen.

Nicht verwenden in den folgenden Fällen:

  • Auf Stellen mit metallischen Prothesen (Schrauben, Nägel usw.) aus ferromagnetischem Material und in der Nähe von zu behandelnden Zonen mit sich im Gewebe befindenden magnetisierbaren Synthesematerialien (bei Zweifeln sollte der Tierarzt aufgesucht werden).
  • Bei Welpen, Kätzchen, Fohlen.
  • Auf inneren Organen (Eierstöcke, Herz, Kopf usw.).
  • Bei Fieber.
  • Bei Tumorerkrankungen.
  • Bei schwerwiegenden Blutdruck-Schwankungen.
