Professional ultrasound therapy device with 2 ultrasound heads.
The I-TECH UT2 is a certified medical device. It's the perfect choice for physiotherapy facilities, rehabilitation clinics, and even discerning private users seeking a professional ultrasound therapy device . Due to its excellent price/performance ratio, it's also our best-selling ultrasound device.
With an output of up to 3 W/cm² and a frequency range of 1 MHz and 3 MHz, it is ideally suited for all types of therapy. It comes with two ultrasound heads with diameters of 1 cm² and 5 cm², perfectly covering all application areas.
Ultrasound therapy applications underwater
In areas where the body surface is very irregular, preventing good contact between the ultrasound heads and the skin, the area can also be treated underwater with the I-Tech UT2. This also applies to areas that are so sensitive that direct contact with the head is not possible.
For this purpose, the water should be degassed (by boiling beforehand) to avoid air bubbles, which can negatively affect the efficiency of the ultrasound application.
ATTENTION: Only the ultrasound head and its cable are protected against water ingress, according to protection class IPX7, not the device itself!
General information about ultrasound therapy
Physical therapy with ultrasound has been used effectively for more than 30 years. Special ultrasound therapy devices , such as the I-Tech UT2, can support conventional therapy for many painful conditions. Ultrasound can also be successfully used in the supportive treatment of aesthetic problems.
During therapy, the ultrasound waves can penetrate the tissue and produce various biological effects:
Mechanical/chemical effects: Ultrasound waves cause pressure changes in the tissue, resulting in movement in the tissue fluid. They can also contribute to an increase in the permeability of cell membranes.
Thermal effects of ultrasound therapy: By increasing the local tissue temperature, the transmitted energy can be converted into heat. This occurs particularly at the interface between tissue types with different acoustic impedances. For example, bone on one side and soft tissue on the other.
Cavitation and ultrasound: Ultrasound applications can also utilize the phenomenon of cavitation by creating vapor bubbles in fatty tissue. This vapor bubble formation releases energy in the tissue.
Ultrasound applications with the I-Tech UT2 therapy device for:
Muscle contractures
Neuralgia
Periarthritis
Neck pain

Below is a complete list of all applications with the corresponding parameters:
The indications regarding intensity and number of treatments may vary from the specifications at the discretion of the treating physician. The guidelines regarding intensity are only guidelines, and this also applies to the specified treatment areas. If the area to be treated is very large, the intensity can be increased by 20% if necessary, or reduced accordingly if the treatment area is very small.
Head movement should also be adjusted to the patient's sensitivity to heat. The slower the movement, the greater the heat development. If the patient feels too much heat, the intensity should be reduced and/or the head should be moved more quickly.
Accessories for I-Tech UT2: The trolley and swivel arm shown in the photo are not included. However, both items can be ordered separately as accessories.
Ultrasound applications in animal physiotherapy : The I-Tech UT2 is also frequently used in animal physiotherapy for horses, dogs, and cats. Depending on the indication, the mechanical action (micromassage) or the thermal effect (deep heat) is intended to exert positive effects on the treated tissue.
Test first, then buy! We offer the option of testing or renting the I-Tech UT2 for a rental fee . If you purchase a laser after testing, the rental fee will be deducted at 50% of the purchase price.
